Back In Black 2

I love the shade black (it’s not a colour), in fact 90% of my wardrobe consists of black clothing.  So when I saw that some of my favourite artists were participating in Back In Black 2 it got me pretty excited.   You should check out the designs that are available until May 31.

“Lady with dishwasher face, baking muffins.”

Today is Sunday doodl day. I put the twitter call out and it was @squink that answered first with “Lady with dishwasher face, baking muffins.”
This was a bigger challenge than I expected as drawing the female form is not my expertise (I’m working on it). So here is what I came up with

Monkeying around

Lately on Saturday or Sunday I post a twitter message asking people to give me a subject to draw.  I do a quick sketch and then post the photo for all to see. Follow me on twitter to join in the fun. Today the request was from  @prettypoopie “purple monkey dishwasher” and this is what I came up with.

We Kill You – I Lose Track Of My Mind Sometimes

We Kill You is a Toronto based street artist who’s work I first encountered when I moved here. The fun and colorful nature of We Kill You‘s work is a positive presence in the city, and often puts a smile on the face of people that pass by it.
We Kill You will be having a solo show April 23rd through May 7th at the Gordon Daniel Galery (460 Parliament St., Toronto). We Kill You will be selling different types of pieces to ensure that We Kill You collectors of all budgets will be able to take home something.

Hot Patootie!

Well the Humans Beware IWG custom show is really kicking into full swing. If you haven’t checked out the Flickr pool you should go check it out now.
Also you should head over to the show’s website and enter to win.

For the show Pretty Poopie and myself each did a solo custom. We also did a collaborative project on one of the larger ones. With us being geeky people who love campy and schlocky films we decided to make a tribute to one of the best rock opera characters of all time.

We named it “Hot Patootie”

Humans Beware

This is my entry for Humans Beware at Rocket World April 10 2009.

As soon as I saw that I had a Rhino the choice was clear.  Growing up my favourite character from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was not one of the turtles, but rather the goon Rocksteady.  I felt that this would make a fitting tribute to him.
